Awe Inspiring

The Latin word for Inspiring or Inspiration is Inspirare meaning “to breathe, to infuse, the act of drawing in.”

Literally, to Breathe Awe.

This blog is about those awe inspiring, indescribable, breathtaking moments in life that seem to come more and more fleeting as we grow older. To some people they are more common, to others they are a thing of the forgotten past. Some people spend their lives searching for them in every area imaginable, while others, or rather, most have given in to the grey walled existence of a life without awe.

As a child awe inspiring moments came easy, the world was almost a constant state of amazement and awe. As an adult, most of that in daily life has disapeared. I have recently found that those places and moments of awe definitely still exist, but take some looking. Most often, I find them in those I love, my husband, God’s creatures, and the undisturbed realm of the wild that is still left on this Earth. The magnifiscence of God’s mountains and wilderness preserves a sense of awe that is hard to find anywhere else. My dreams include discovering those places in the every day and in the far away and sharing them with people.
